Talavera Uriarte is the greater and older factory in Puebla and certainly the best in terms of quality and design.
In 1824 the story of Uriarte's Talavera factory begins, when Don Ygnacio Uriarte buys a "white earthenware" factory called La Guadalupana, located in the ancient house ''Mesón de Sosa No.13'' From that date to nowdays, is the same house,over the years, generations of skilled artisans have jealously preserved the secrets of the manufacture of the traditional Talavera from Puebla. ''Casa Uriarte'' was recognized as the eighth oldest company in the country and, undoubtedly, the oldest in the State of Puebla. This distinction fills us with pride and makes us the largest, oldest and most prestigious Talavera factory in the world.

Guided tour of the factory where you will learn about the process of creating talavera and you will visit the museum. Tours Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 2:00 hrs. (Spanish/English)

Workshop on painting
Guided tour of the factory where you will learn about the process of creating talavera, you will visit the museum and you will make a talavera plate painting workshop. (15 cm diameter).
The workshop we offer is Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 2:00 hrs.
Approximate time of the tour with all activities: 2 to 3 hours.
Cost of the workshop $550 pesos per person. Includes bottle of water/soft drink.
*Includes roundtrip transportation from the hotel, does not include the plate or shipping.

VIP Painting Workshop
Guided tour of the factory where you will learn about the process of creating talavera, you will visit the museum and you will make a talavera plate painting workshop. (15 cm diameter).
The workshop we offer is Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 2:00 hrs.

Cost of the workshop $1000 pesos per person. Includes bottle of water/soft drink.
